English Teacher

The French American Academy - Jersey City, NJ - Full Time

The French American Academy is currently seeking full-time English Teachers who can serve Kindergarten grades.

We are looking for a teacher who:

  • Is interested in working in a bilingual French/English setting
  • Has experience teaching preschool and/or elementary grades, 2 years minimum
  • Has training in education with a bachelor's degree or higher
  • Has training/background in English/ELA and Math
  • Has strong writing and speaking skills in English
  • Has a student-centered approach
  • Adapts teaching methods and instructional materials to meet students' varying needs and interests
  • Create a nurturing and safe classroom community
  • Is innovative and technology-savvy
  • Enjoys collaborating on curriculum and project-based learning
  • Is adaptable, flexible, and creative
  • Is willing to teach several different grades
  • Has a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Proficiency in French is a plus
